While receiving God-Knowledge, a seeker pledges to follow five principles given as: 1. One should consider all one's worldly assets - physical, mental and material as ultimately belonging to God and one may utilized them as a trustee and should not be proud of these possessions. 2. One should not feel proud of one's religion, caste, colour and creed as also the status (Ashram); one should love every one as a fellow human being. 3. One should not hate or criticize others on account of their diet and dress which may be different from his or her own. 4. One must not leave one's hearth and home, become recluse or ascetic and be a burden on others; one must earn one's own livelihood through honest hard work and fulfil one's responsibilities as a family person. 5. One must not divulge to others the divine knowledge as revealed by the True Master, without a word from him. This will save him or her from the pride of being in possession of God-Knowledge.

An old man

A 70 year old man was having his annual checkup and the doctor asked him how he was feeling. "I've never been better!" he boasted. "I've got an eighteen year old bride who's pregnant and having my child! What do you think about that?"
The doctor considered this for a moment, then said, "Let me tell you a story. I knew a guy who was an avid hunter. He never missed a season. But one day went out in a bit of a hurry and he accidentally grabbed his umbrella instead of his gun."
The doctor continued, "So he was in the woods and suddenly a grizzly bear appeared in front of him! He raised up his umbrella, pointed it at the bear and squeezed the handle." "And do you know what happened?" the doctor queried.
Dumbfounded, the old man replied "No".
The doctor continued, "The bear dropped dead in front of him!"
"That's impossible!" exclaimed the old man.
"Someone else must have shot that bear."
"That's kind of what I'm getting at..." replied the doctor.

Dreams

Our dreams do not come from 'another world'. They are not message from some outside sources. They are not a look into the future, nor do they foretell anything.
All our dreams have some connections with our emotions, fears, longings, wishes, memories and needs. But something on the 'outside' may influence our dreams. The material for the dream we have tonight is likely to come from the experience we have today. The content of our dream comes from something that affects us while we are sleeping and may also use our past experiences and interests we have now.

Prayer Can Help People Handle Difficult Emotions, Study Suggests

Always pray god
Those who choose to pray find personalized comfort during hard times, according to a University of Wisconsin-Madison sociologist. The 75 percent of Americans who pray on a weekly basis do so to manage a range of negative situations and emotions -- illness, sadness, trauma and anger -- but just how they find relief has gone unconsidered by researchers.

Through the course of in-depth interviews with dozens of victims of violent relationships with intimate partners, Shane Sharp, a graduate student studying sociology at UW-Madison, gathered an array of ways prayer helped them deal with their situation and emotions through coping mechanisms such as venting. Sharp's interviewees represented a wide swath of the United States in geographic, educational and racial terms, and came largely from Christian backgrounds.

The English Language

There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple or pine in pineapple. And while no one knows what is in a hotdog, you can be pretty sure it isn't canine.
English muffins were not invented in England nor French fries in France.
Sweetmeats are candies, while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.
We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square, and guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
And why is it that writers write, but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce, and hammers don't ham?
If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, two meese? Is cheese the plural of choose? One mouse, 2 mice. One louse, 2 lice. One house, 2 hice?
If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught?
If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?

Worst letter to mother

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Eleven Hints for Life

1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

4. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final of the Harry Potter novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The book was released on 21 July 2007, ending the series that began in 1997 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This book chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince(2005), and leads to the long-awaited final confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published in the United Kingdom by Bloomsbury Publishing, in the United States by Scholastic, in Canada by Raincoast Books, and in Australia and New Zealand by Allen & Unwin. Released globally in ninety-three countries, Deathly Hallows broke sales records as the fastest-selling book ever. It sold 15 million copies in the first twenty-four hours following its release, including more than 11 million in the U.S. and U.K. alone. The previous record, nine million in its first day, had been held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The novel has also been translated into numerous languages, including Ukrainian, Swedish, Polish and Hindi.
Several awards were given to the novel, including the 2008 Colorado Blue Spruce Book Award, and it was listed as a "Best Book for Young Adults" by the American Library Association. Reception to the book was generally positive, although some reviewers found the characters to be repetitive or unchanging. A two-part film based on the novel is in the works, with part one's release date in November 2010.

Rain Water Harvesting (RWH)

Falling rain can provide some of the cleanest naturally occurring water that is available anywhere. There is considerable scope to collect rainwater when it falls, before it evaporates or becomes contaminated. RWH is not only a useful technology but also a good choice where groundwater is too deep of inaccessible due to hard ground condition, or where it is too silty, acidic, contaminated with arsenic, fluoride or otherwise unpleasant or unfit to drink.

Protect Yourself From Hacking

Do Not Disclose Your IP Address
This the biggest mistake you could ever do.Never Disclose your IP address to anybody because ip address is the address of your computer.Once the hacker knows the address of your computer it will be easy for him Enter into your home(computer) and steal your accessories ( data and passwords).

Do Not Download any Suspcious Software or Attachments
A lot of people search for cracks and keygens online.Remember this is most exploited method used by the hackers to hack into the pc(personal computer). They usually attach a keylogger or virus with the crack or the keygen.Once you download and install it then your data will be automatically sent to the hacker without your permission. And this might lead to a disaster if you are a online business man because your sensitive information such as paypal account information,e-mail account information can be sent to the hackers.

Earthquake Preparedness

  • Pick "safe places" in each room of your home. A safe place could be under a sturdy table or desk or against an interior wall away from windows, bookcases, or tall furniture that could fall on you. The shorter the distance to move to safety, the less likely you will be injured. Injury statistics show that persons moving more than 10 feet during an earthquake's shaking are most likely to experience injury.
  • Practice drop, cover, and hold-on in each safe place. Drop under a sturdy desk or table, hold on, and protect your eyes by pressing your face against your arm. Practicing will make these actions an automatic response. When an earthquake or other disaster occurs, many people hesitate, trying to remember what they are supposed to do. Responding quickly and automatically may help protect you from injury.
  • Practice drop, cover, and hold-on at least twice a year. Frequent practice will help reinforce safe behavior.
  • Talk with your insurance agent. Different areas have different requirements for earthquake protection. Study locations of active faults, and if you are at risk, consider purchasing earthquake insurance.
  • Inform guests, babysitters, and caregivers of your plan. Everyone in your home should know what to do if an earthquake occurs. Assure yourself that others will respond properly even if you are not at home during the earthquake.
  • Get training. Take a first aid class from your local Red Cross chapter. Get training on how to use a fire extinguisher from your local fire department. Keep your training current. Training will help you to keep calm and know what to do when an earthquake occurs.
  • Discuss earthquakes with your family. Everyone should know what to do in case all family members are not together. Discussing earthquakes ahead of time helps reduce fear and anxiety and lets everyone know how to respond.

It is madness

To hate all roses, because you got scratched with one thorn.
To give up on your dreams, because one didn't come true.
To lose faith in prayers, because one was not answered.
To give up your efforts, because one of them failed.
To condemn all your friends, because one betrayed you.
Not to believe in love because someone was unfaithful or didn't love you back.
To throw away all your chances to be happy,
cause you didn't succeeded on the first attempt.
I hope that as you go on your way, you don't give in to madness.
Remembering always
Another chance may come up, Another friend,
A new love, A renewed strength,
Be persistent
Look for happiness, look for happiness in everyday
The sure path of failure is to give up!
It is often through failure that future success comes,
Keep Trying, Be Optimistic.

Love is blind...

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?" The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying..... "Just take care of my eyes dear." i'll always love you forever..

Sweet salt...

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him.

At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised but due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, and she thought to herself, "Please, let me go home..."

Suddenly he asked the waiter, "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously, "Why you have this hobby?" He replied, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there." While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home... Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.

Hate letter

Read this "HATE letter". It is so funny and creative. This is a loveletter from a boy to a girl.... However, the girl's father does not like him and want them stop their relationship......and so..the boy wrote this letter to the girl..he knows that the girl's father will definitely read this letter..

1 "The great love that I have for you
2 is gone, and I find my dislike for you
3 grows every day. When I see you,
4 I do not even like your face;
5 the one thing that I want to do is to
6 look at other girls. I never wanted to
7 marry you. Our last conversation
8 was very boring and has not
9 made me look forward to seeing you again.
10 You think only of yourself.
11 If we were married, I know that I would find
12 life very difficult, and I would have no
13 pleasure in living with you. I have a heart
14 to give, but it is not something that
15 I want to give to you. No one is more
16 foolish and selfish than you, and you are not
17 able to care for me and help me.
18 I sincerely want you to understand that
19 I speak the truth. You will do me a favor
20 if you think this is the end. Do not try
21 to answer this. Your letters are full of
22 things that do not interest me. You have no
23 true love for me. Good-bye! Believe me,
24 I do not care for you. Please do not think that
25 I am still your boyfriend."

The art of forgiving

Part of our unwillingness to forgive is due to our unreadiness to accept that we have faults and failings like everyone else. It is created and fed by unacknowledged perfectionism. For various reasons - an inability to take failure, a need to be above criticism - we expect too much of ourselves and therefore too much of other people, too much of the Church, too much of life altogether, so that it kicks back in one disappointment after another. It would be good if we could make a pact with ourselves not to blame ourselves, or others, or life, for not meeting the hunger for the absolute which God planted in us. This would be an agreement to forgive earth for not being heaven.

When times are...

When times are bad, and you are sad,
With no one to cheer you, or make you glad
No friends to care, no one to share
All the sufferings that you may have had
My dear friend, that's not the end
There is still hope just around the bend
Shed all your gloom, and let life bloom,
You aren't alone, you still have ONE true FRIEND
Remember, the LORD, is with you,
Now smile, because, "HE" cares for you.

When times are good, in a joyous mood
When you feel you are on top, of the world
With friends galore, success and more
You have everything that you ever could
Do not let pride, take you for a ride
Do not look down upon the, world so wide
Do not forget, all that you get
All you have is a gift GOD, did provide
Remember, the LORD, is with you
Now smile, because, "HE" cares for you.

Sant Nirankari Mission - An introduction

- The Sant Nirankari Mission is neither a religion nor a sect already prevalent in the world; rather it is a spiritual movement.

- The Sant Nirankari Mission is a systematic way of life based on devotion to God after knowing the Formless One.

- The Mission endeavours to establish Universal Brotherhood through granting the perception of the Supreme Father, God, in every human being.

- The Formless God is the sole Creator, Nurturer and Destroyer of this visible universe and He is worth Knowing.

- The Sant Nirankari Mission is convinced that it is only through God-realization that the fulfillment of human life is achieved.

- The one who reveals the Eternal Truth i.e. God, is the True Master (Satguru); and the one who after perceiving the Formless God - Nirankar in every particle of the universe remembers Him all the time everywhere in all circumstances, remains in the company of saints and dedicates oneself to the service of humanity, is a Nirankar.

Avoid the Seven Deadly Sins

They can kill your relationships and your career.

  1. Pride, because it takes you down a one-way street.
  2. Covetousness, because it makes you unhappy, with what you have.
  3. Lust, because few people are able to escape the consequences.
  4. Anger, because it is the greatest waste of energy.
  5. Gluttony, because it can destroy you competitive edge, making you lose to the fellow who keeps his appetites in check.
  6. Envy, because it reveals your weaknesses and makes you powerless.
  7. Sloth, because the lazy, careless or disorganized person is easy prey for competitors.

The seven deadly sins are thousands of years old, but they are as treacherous today as ever.

Have you ever wondered?

Have you ever wondered, how bees take nectar and make it into honey,
How trees are made into paper, and paper into money.
How the Sun is so far away, yet we feel the heat,
How the tongue is what allows us to talk.
How a little bird knows how to fly when it leaves the nest,
How our bodies are so active, and suddenly we need to rest.
How we lie down at night, and put ourselves to sleep,
How dreams are allowed in our minds to creep.
How our emotions are stirred and we can cry,
How we suddenly become happy and the tears are dried.
How we can seen to be 'oh! so fine',
And instantly we can be half out of our mind.
How one day we have a friend, and one day we don't,
How sometimes people help us, and sometimes they won't.
How by hands of a clock moving, time goes by.
How fingernails seem to grow from under the skin,
How peace is said to come from within,
How we plant grain, and harvest corn,
How some babies are hatched and others are born.
If we have ever wondered and asked why,
The answer lies alone with the MAKER in the sky.
Just wondering.....Have you ever wondered?

I asked God to take away my pride. And God said "No".

He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.

The Story of Love

10 th grade:
As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

11th grade:
The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Senior year:
The day before prom she walked to my locker. "My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step! I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

The World's Toughest "Explorer" Puzzle

Here, in the middle of this confounded desert, is the lost city of Ishtar. To reach it I will have to travel overland by foot from the coast. On a trek like this each man can only carry enough rations for five days and I calculate that the farthest we can travel in one day is 30 miles. The map that I obtained states that the city is 120 miles from my starting point. What I am trying to figure out is the fewest number of men, including myself, that I will need in our party so that I alone can reach the city, stay over night, and then return to the coast without running out of supplies.

Can you discover the answer to this mystery?

The World's Toughest "Alice" Puzzle

Alice, on her way to the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, came to a fork in the path that she was following. Luckily, Tweedledum and Tweedledee were there to help her out.
"The Walrus told me that one branch of this path would lead me to the Mad Hatter's house and that the other would take me to the den of the Jabberwock, a place I certainly don't want to go to. He said that you boys know the right path to take. He also warned me that one of you always tells the truth, and that the other one always lies. He also says that I can only ask of you one question." Alice then phrased her question in such a way that she was sure to get a correct answer regardless of which brother she asked. Can you figure out what question she put to the boys to get the right directions?
