While receiving God-Knowledge, a seeker pledges to follow five principles given as: 1. One should consider all one's worldly assets - physical, mental and material as ultimately belonging to God and one may utilized them as a trustee and should not be proud of these possessions. 2. One should not feel proud of one's religion, caste, colour and creed as also the status (Ashram); one should love every one as a fellow human being. 3. One should not hate or criticize others on account of their diet and dress which may be different from his or her own. 4. One must not leave one's hearth and home, become recluse or ascetic and be a burden on others; one must earn one's own livelihood through honest hard work and fulfil one's responsibilities as a family person. 5. One must not divulge to others the divine knowledge as revealed by the True Master, without a word from him. This will save him or her from the pride of being in possession of God-Knowledge.

Television serials - reasons to become lazy

There are so many TV channels showing uncountable number of serials about many social, historical, scientific, sports, politics, business, fiction and reality shows. These channels telecast these serials round the clock. The habit of watching teleserials becomes almost an addiction. This is the reason today children rarely play outdoor games. They come back from school, somehow finish their homework in a hurry and sit in front of the TV to watch serials. Some children have the habit of eating in front of TV while watching their favourite serials. Even the adults do the same sometimes. Some serials are good to watch as they teach us some education regarding various social aspects. But some are merely a waste of time. Some serials are scary and some are even unacceptable socially or indecent to watch with family. Many times we visit our relatives or friends to socialize but we end up watching TV serials without even talking to each other. This is how we are becoming lazy day by day. Thanks for TV but no thanks to the serials.

What is life?

God has a master plan. He has given us life as a gift. To live it is a boon but to understand it is a curse because one spends his whole life trying to understand life. But when he finally does, all that he can stare upon is death. This is because life is so vast. It means different in different stages.

At times it is a challenge to overcome all the struggles, like it is for many of the Nepalese people who are under the poverty level. At other times, it becomes a mystery, like for many who try to unfold this mystery. Sometimes, it is a tragedy that has to be faced. It might be joy, it might be sorrow. Life gives us a line of rights but a novel of duties, to perform. Live is game and sometimes even a gamble. Sometimes, it feels like a dream, but we must realize it as a reality.

Begin today with a smile

Don't recall the sadness of the past
As it may bring sorrows and depression.
Begin your present with a good expression
And hurry up, let a smile come fast.

Life as a glorious gift

Life, according to many people is a friendship with various ups and downs. It is the rumble of enormous positive and negative thoughts. It is the glamorous gift presented to us by the almighty God. Our life glistens when there is happiness and enjoyment all around and it suddenly disappears like gust of wind when there is a single gleam of sorrow and disappointment.
Life can turn into a dismal cave of thoughts by a single untruthful action and life can prosper with various good and glanderous actions. According to the body's language, life may be a time interval of 100 or 90 years, whereas according to soul's language, life is a everlasting status of living. Many people express that love is life. It is true because without love, lining a life is impossible. Similarly, a soul without love ends up with devil ideas.

A brief Mahabharat

The Mahabharata was the Great War fought between the Kauravas and Pandavas, of the Bharata race, which has given India its name.
King Santanu, a decendant of Bharata had three children: Dhritarashtra, Pandu and Vidura. When they came to age, one of them had to ascend the throne. In consequence of his blindness, Dhritarashtra was deemed incapable of reigning. Pandu, therefore came to the throne. Pandu had two wives Kunti and Madri. Due to a curse, Pandu didn't consort with his wives but had five sons, each attributed to a different God. Of his five sons, the three Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna was born to Kunti and Madri gave birth to Nakul and Sahadev.
The five princes, who were yet children, were brought to their uncle Dhritarashtra, whose wife Gandhara had born him a hundred sons and one daughter and were known as the Kauravas, different and disliked the children of Pandu. Night-time Sleep Found Beneficial to Infants' Skills

Young children who get most of their sleep at night perform better in executive functioning than children who don't sleep as much at night, a new study finds. The study of 60 Canadian children aged 1, 1-1/2 and 2, examined the children's sleep habits and executive functioning skills, including impulse control and mental flexibility. The researchers found that children who sleep mostly at night did better on executive function tasks, especially those involving impulse control.

At ages 1 and 1-1/2, children who get most of their sleep at night (as opposed to during the day) do better in a variety of skill areas than children who don't sleep as much at night.
That's the finding of a new longitudinal study conducted by researchers at the University of Montreal and the University of Minnesota. The research appears in the November/December 2010 issue of the journal Child Development.
