While receiving God-Knowledge, a seeker pledges to follow five principles given as: 1. One should consider all one's worldly assets - physical, mental and material as ultimately belonging to God and one may utilized them as a trustee and should not be proud of these possessions. 2. One should not feel proud of one's religion, caste, colour and creed as also the status (Ashram); one should love every one as a fellow human being. 3. One should not hate or criticize others on account of their diet and dress which may be different from his or her own. 4. One must not leave one's hearth and home, become recluse or ascetic and be a burden on others; one must earn one's own livelihood through honest hard work and fulfil one's responsibilities as a family person. 5. One must not divulge to others the divine knowledge as revealed by the True Master, without a word from him. This will save him or her from the pride of being in possession of God-Knowledge.

Secret of success

Success in life is a matter not so much of talent as of confidence and positive thinking. Some people succeed more easily than others because they have ceaseless industry, limitless ambition, unquenchable enthusiasm and tremendous common sense. They also seem to have some technique by which they are filled with inner strength to successfully cope with any state of affairs.
When a successful man enters a room, he is recognized as a man of 'personality'. When he speaks, people listen to him for he has confidence in his voice. His success serves him as a pedestal. It makes him look bigger!

On the other hand an unsuccessful man can give excellent reasons why he has failed in life. He says that conditions were not quite favorable, he was unfairly handicapped or unfairly treated and so on.

While the first man thinks success, and succeeds, the second man thinks failure and fails. The difference between the two is due to the attitude of mind. If you want to think success, you must decide what success means to you. Success means different things to different people. Amassing money, signal success in examination, security in life, desire to write a good book, happy married life and so on.
Before you long for success in life, you must define your aim in the mind. You must be able to say that your aim is to earn a lakh of rupees or to become office manager. When you have a definite goal or ambition often reflected upon, all the powers of your body and mind will begin to work to help you acquire success. Remember, the true road to success in any field is to make yourself master of that field.
Another secret of success is to get rid of adverse thinking to remove any mental blocks. The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed. You can do anything you want to do if you stick to it long enough. Keep watch on yourself and do not allow in your mind any thought of past mistakes, failures, fears of any negative thinking. Check yourself everyday and turn your thoughts towards victory.
The only real way to overcome negative thinking is to make perseverance, experience, caution and hope your watchwords and thoughts. The secret of success is to concentrate your thought upon success. Think of the things that you can do. Make a list of them, in order of the things you can do best and then do them well. Then plan new conquests. You will soon realize you have established a process of mental activity that will foresee and ensure success. Eventually, your mind will become "success-conditioned" and you will think persistently in terms of achievement.
